Availability may vary depending on sheet size.
Can twin-wall polycarbonate be cut to size?
Yes. Sheets can be cut to your required dimensions for easy installation.
Is twin-wall polycarbonate strong?
Yes. It is highly impact-resistant and much stronger than glass while being significantly lighter.
Does twin-wall polycarbonate provide insulation?
Yes. The hollow structure traps air between the layers, helping to reduce heat loss and improve thermal efficiency.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. Twin-wall polycarbonate is designed for outdoor use and is weather-resistant.
Does it have UV protection?
Most twin-wall polycarbonate sheets have a UV-protected outer surface to prevent yellowing and extend lifespan.
Which side faces the sun when installing?
The UV-protected side should face outward toward the sun. This is usually marked on the protective film.
Can twin-wall polycarbonate be bent?
Yes. It can be cold-bent along the direction of the internal flutes, within recommended radius limits.
How do you install twin-wall polycarbonate sheets?
Sheets are typically installed using glazing bars, support frames and sealing tape to protect the open flutes from moisture and dirt.
Do the edges need sealing?
Yes. The top edge is normally sealed with solid tape, and the bottom edge with breathable vent tape to prevent condensation build-up.
How long does twin-wall polycarbonate last?
With proper installation and UV protection, it can last many years outdoors.
Is twin-wall polycarbonate better than glass for roofing?
It is lighter, more impact-resistant and provides better insulation than glass, making it ideal for many roofing applications.
Can I order single sheets or bulk quantities?
Yes. Both individual and trade orders are available.
Do you deliver across the UK?
Yes. Nationwide delivery is available, with sheets carefully packaged for protection in transit.
