PETG is not as strong as polycarbonate however is commonly used as an economical alternative to polycarbonate as it can, in some circumstances, be easier to work with. The material will not shatter like glass and is both FDA and EEC approved for use with food. PETG is often used in many public buildings, airports, schools and where safety and security is required.
